We have stayed at many hotels in Italy, but none have matched the value, comfort and overall feel of this once grand estate. This hotel was found online and booked from the US as part of our honeymoon travels. A little hard to find at first but eventually we found the gravel road leading up to it as it sits back and up a hill in San Miniato. The service was of the mom and pop style with extremely personable staff with impeccable attention to detail. Wine and chilled champage greeted us upon entering our room along with free wifi and a nice view of the surrounding area. A king size bed, sitting area and immaculate bathroom along with an outstanding European buffet style breakfast in the morning make us come back to this fine establishment each time we are in the area of San Miniato. The town itself is small and cozy but do not let that fool you as it is the home of the Tartufo Festival of Italy each year. It is said that the truffles alone are enough to visit but do not forget to make it a point to visit the hot springs that people come to from all over the world for their healing properties.
